The Storehouse is seeking artists for a community art wall project at our fixed pantry location. We are seeking artists and community art organizations such as schools and youth groups to submit a proposal for potential artwork to be displayed on the south wall of the Storehouse building.
Selected artists will complete an 8 foot x 8 foot mural painting in a mountable surface such wood, plywood or light-gage steel which cannot exceed 1/2 of an inch in thickness.
To be considered for this project, please submit a project narrative describing the proposed mural image (no more than one page) as it relates to the theme of this project listed below, as well as sketch or illustration images in the size of 8” by 8”. On your submittal, please include your name and contact information. Proposals must be submitted by February 28, 2017 via email to NIPope@GoAdelante.org.
The Art Wall committee will review proposal submittals and notify three successful artists by March 8, 2017. The selected artists will be given a stipend of $250.00 for materials and $750.00 at the time of delivery. The artists chosen for this project must have the mural art ready for installation by April 24, 2017.
