The Storehouse New Mexico food pantry has had a busy fall and emptier than usual shelves. Thankfully, Toyota, iHeartRadio, and Albertsons Markets are teaming up to help this holiday season. They are hosting their annual Fill-the-Truck Food Drive with events in November and December. New Mexico ranks in the top 10 for food insecurity. Currently, 1 in 4 children is going hungry. You can help fill these trucks by donating shelf-stable food to the Storehouse. Together, we can make the holiday season brighter for local families.
How You Can Help Fill the Truck with Food
From now until December 13, Toyota Tundras will be parked at Albertsons Market stores in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Shoppers can help fill them with non-perishable food donations. You can also get Toyota swag during these events. In addition, iHeart Radio stations will register guests to win tickets and hand out prizes. Can’t make it out at the scheduled times to fill the truck with food donations? No problem! There will be Storehouse food drive bins accepting donations at these same Albertsons Market locations in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Los Lunas through mid-December. Whenever you are grocery shopping, you can help fill those collection barrels.

Other Ways to Support the Storehouse this Holiday Season
Don’t forget that there are many ways to support the Storehouse this holiday season and all year long. For example, the public is invited to volunteer, individually or with groups. The food pantry has seen increased numbers of people in 2025 so public support is vital. This holiday season Sandia Area Federal Credit Union is also matching donations up to $50,000. You can donate to the FACE the Hunger holiday campaign through early January. Visit our donate page to learn more ways to help the Storehouse feed local families.
