At Storehouse we often talk about the ‘3 Ways to Give’ that best support our efforts – food drives, donations, and volunteerism. Of course, we count on the generous corporations that help us feed hungry families. This month we want to highlight Sandia Area Federal Credit Union.

The credit union had a food drive at multiple locations collecting over 2,200 pounds of food, they sent volunteers to help sort and hand out food to our clients, and they also gave a financial gift large enough to help us provide over 35,000 meals.

The SAFCU website reminds visitors that “when you join Sandia Area, you become part of a community of people who care about their neighbors. Sandia Area partners with organizations throughout our community through sponsorships, donations and volunteer work. We’re committed to improving lives in the markets we serve by supporting those who need our help.” ( https://www.sandia.org/about-us/community-involvement )

The Storehouse team greatly appreciates the generosity of Sandia Area FCU and their commitment to improving our community by helping us feed people in need. Thank you!
